A Vision for America250PA – Adams County 250th
Throughout 2026, America will celebrate our nation's 250th birthday. This semiquincentennial year is a time for national reflection, enriching education, and renewed appreciation for the foundational principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
In November 1863, President Abraham Lincoln journeyed to Gettysburg to remind the nation of what had been declared in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776.
This signature event will begin on November 18, 2026, with Lincoln's arrival by train, followed by various welcoming speeches and his visit to the David Wills House. On the following day, November 19, the cast and participants re-create the presidential procession, from the Square to the Soldiers' National Cemetery (within Gettysburg National Cemetery). Lincoln will once again deliver his iconic Gettysburg Address.
This America250PA-Adams County live theatrical event offers an unparalleled opportunity to witness a great day in American history.
